Business Cat assertion that #Monero bros optimize for the wrong threats and usecases is ridiculous.

people need transactional privacy and fungibility with money.

its actually really fucking simple.

yes. Bitcoin *fails enough at privacy* that people are going to Monero.

Monero may also only exist to move the Overton window for Bitcoiners.

that's fine. we will use Bitcoin when we can have private transactions that maintain 1st principles.

Good on nostr:nprofile1qqs9val6td43edk4hmnct5yg4yzv6zqgy4ft7awl8eps9n4qzkja8cgpremhxue69uhkummnw3ez6ur4vgh8wetvd3hhyer9wghxuet59uq3wamnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3wdah8xct5wvhx7un89uq36amnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3dwfjkccte9emkcann9eehqctrv5hsj3pt3x for calling out the confirmation bias.

(and the "if you're so interested in privacy do you run your own email server?" is regular ole horseshit and a sad argument from a supposedly intelligent person)

Well said

I listened to this earlier and don't understand how Business Cat concludes that being a public figure in the Monero space is hypocritical (I've seen this argument a few times from others).

Being a public figure has no relation to the privacy of your transactions on Moneros blockchain.
