Anyone have experience using GnuCash? Any good? Any issues?

For this entity I dont need complex things or even integrated payroll, payment providers or invoicing. Simple double entry, account details, with basic reports is the core of what i need.

I used gnucash years ago. I liked it. Too long ago to be a trusted review today, but it is where I would start if I wanted something like that again.

Ive just migrated to GnuCash so Ive got a comparison and it all checks out the way id expect it to. Reports provide easy config. Wicked fast compared to QBO. Ill probably cancel QBO within a month or two

Is import from bank statements there yet?

There is an online banking feature under tools, but given how horrendous pulling that data is for different banks in the retail space i never use and just stick to manual entry or download export file for import

I’ve heard good things about Firefly. It’s tracks btc also. I haven’t had a chance to use it personally yet, but thinking to switch over for the new year. https://www.firefly-iii.org/
