A few thoughts meant to be questions open for discussion. First, today I only buy bitcoin, and no other cryptos. When I first got into crypto, the gateway for me was chainlink. I wasn't looking for understanding a broken system and a possible fix, but just to find something as an investment early enough with enough possibility of huge upside. This led me to study the crypto world, and over time I became orange pilled. Where I still get tripped up is the ethos among maxi's that all other coins are a scam or useless. I am not saying I believe any or all other blockchain technology based companies will ultimately be successful, but the idea that the future is set and they will all definitely be doomed intuitively seems off to me. I certainly believe companies will continue to be good investments over time, and it would reason to believe some of those companies may be crypto companies using other chains. And I see those companies are centralized, and that as a money, bitcoin solved the problem of centralization, distribution, and security. I also understand scalability in bitcoin is being solved in layers. And I get bitcoin isn't a company, but an open source protocol, which is one reason it is superior as a money. I like the argument by analogy with the internet (open to all) vs intranet (has gatekeepers), and bitcoin is the internet, while other crypto projects often have gatekeepers. But the use of intranets, while proven not to be the main value of the internet, are still in existence and used by corporations all over the world, and do hold value. I see all the technical critiques against crypto as alternatives to bitcoin as sound, but the critique that because a blockchain company doesn't operate on top of bitcoin that it is going to fail simply because it doesn't operate on top of bitcoin is the stumbling stone for me. Not enough of a stumbling stone to cause me to buy other projects, as I believe in the future of bitcoin is a given and can't say that about any other project. Just that I have a hard time believing all other projects are definitely going to zero.
