be wary of spoilers in comment section but please discuss the movie under this post or in the comments
if there is any interest in #filmstrclub I will provide my own input on this film to help start the discussion
This is a great idea. I've seen it and really liked. I think it was quite weird when it came out and didn't really get much interest. I think that may have more tondonaith timing and state of the world. In fact I vaguely remember some Twitter Discourse™ about it being too white (yt) or something lol. Would make a good doublebill with Valhalla Rising #flickstr
Watched this in the theater because my wife loves viking movies. She hated it, because lots of reasons. I had researched just enough going in that I knew to expect something more artistic, theatrical, and different - so I was enjoying the heil out of it, as well as enjoying laughing at all the wankers (like my wife and stepson) that just weren't getting it. Was it great, maybe not. Probably wouldn't see it again, unless with friends on substances. But it was still a fun and memorable experience (sober). #flickstr
Yeah, it is p slow paced, more like The VVitch and perhaps not like what people were expecting, which may have been the Viking TV show
I've also never heard of this sync thing;). If there was more interest you could even start showing films in a sync-ed screening thru something like cytube, which has a chatroom. Would be great to have some sort of nostr version with nip extension login 🤔
I would love to do that! I just don't know much about technology or how nostr works. you on the other hand... ;)
sync is an alternative to dropbox/google photos because fuck corporations
I don't know if anyone here remembers rabbit.tv but those were the days....
Theoretically, they can't shut us down if we are de-centralized, so we could set up something like this and keep it going. However, I am bad at organizing stuff and am burnt out rn anyways
Don't know rabbit TV. Yeah that's the thing with sync watching stuff, it is actually pretty annoying. And I live in a timezone which wouldn't be relevant to movie watching for most people here lol. And even ignoring this, it's still a faff. I think it's better to do it your way, people can do it in their own time with the file provided:)
