Layoff event at work has occurred and I am an official survivor.
My only regret is that I let it get under my skin so deeply even though I have built such a resilient lifestyle.
Guess I’m just wired that way as a worry wart

Glad you survived the cutting block. Feel the regret then let it go (as cheesy as that sounds). I get it - the fiat programming runs deep. Took Boyfriend over a year to relax into his retirement. Your bio proves you’ve done the work to set yourself up well. Go you!!!!

We’ll their terms was with a big fat severance package, mine will be likely free to them.
It’s just an age thing, can’t quite dip in to retirement yet, healthcare is astronomically expensive. In just 2 more years I’ll be miles ahead of where I am now, in 7 I’ll be way further than that
