Get a berkey filter for times like that. You only need the filters not the device... Drill a hole in a container and afic the filter, same as the device e and better than tap

Checked out Berkey Filters. So you’re saying I can get similar results as with RO but the filters last for 11(!) years? What magic is this?
Half the price of a decent RO unit, less maintenance, less cost for replacements, less complexity.
Ordered a couple of replacement parts for my RO but if it turns out it doesn’t fix the issue, I’ll go down this route.
Really appreciate this. RO always felt just semi-optimimal because of the recurring maintenance cost and everything being mostly made of plastics.
