If the Industrial Revolution didn’t happen we’d all still be living in twig huts, shitting in bushes, under a feudalistic hellscape :)

The IR occurred in the mid 18th century to the mid 19th century.

Plumbing and houses were fairly common place.

And yet, the vast majority of people I know who claim to be sympathetic to libertarianism are blind to the disaster. It would be somewhat entertaining if it weren't tragic. Libertarians should be accutely aware of the problem and yet they are not. If anything libertarians are among the worst cheerleaders for technology and alleged progress. They are also blind, or pretend to be blind, to the close relationship between big business, government and technocracy. Roger Ver for instance is a perfect example of this kind of libertarianism.
