One of the biggest problems of a lot of tech we use today is that a lot of it was built by SV monsters who knew how to serenade us with altrustic talking points while they were ACTUALLY building a Brave New World. Today, Big Tech mediates the majority of our payments, communication thus they decide who gets to have a voice and who gets silenced, who is eligible for monetization on social platforms and if people like Noor Siddiqui have their way, they will get to decide who can have a child and who doesn't. Today it may be the parents deciding which embryo they want, but what happens when that power is seized by the state? Will Noor decline a DoD mandate to breed super soldiers for them? Or a Big Pharma cheque to harvest stem cells from "discarded embryos" ? Only time will tell.
