There is a mad honey from rhododendrons mountain laurel here in the US, but it can’t hold a tab of acid to Nepalese honey.

Harvested in Nepal, supposedly has psychedelic effect, not sure of the taste but I am sure that isn’t the point. Harvesters must hang from vine-like ladders dropping hundreds of feet off of cliffs and very carefully extract the honey from the beehives (and I use that word in the most imaginary sense). I will search for the Nat Geo article I read years ago, with pix, straight fantasy-looking.

I think the Nat Geo article said the honey got psyched out because of bat guano, but I could be trippin’ LOL
