It's entirely subjective, I think. If you don't really know where you're going, I'm not sure any amount of money will ever be enough. You got to have goals to progress, but you've got to be happy with yourself or you'll keep chasing something forever, without ever truly being fulfilled.
If I lost it all tomorrow, I would only be pissed off at the idea that I may have to subject myself to some moron in order to become independent again. I only ever want to be answerable to myself.
Maybe your goal is to make $100m, but then what, right? I think we need to look beyond that to figure out what you think the point of life is. Do what makes you happy, help others who can be helped along the way and ultimately just enjoy the ride.
I think one aspect of life is to learn; from the day we're born until the day we die, we never stop learning. I like to make things that can improve the lives of others. An honest pursuit that isn't based around making money, but of course as long as the world is the way it is, that will always be a part of it. If your only goal is to make money, then perhaps you need to open your mind to some other things.
