#knitting advice needed!

I have some yarn and want to make a sweater. I'm very new to knitting so looking for something simple.

What sort of stitch pattern is this? Would it be easy-ish? (Cables terrify me and I'm still working on my tension for purling - this pattern is worked flat I believe.)

Hi there! I took a look at the sweater you are looking at on Ravelry. It looks to me like it’s knit in garter stitch and stockinette stitch. I would say it’s a simple and easy pattern.
