A few weeks ago we harvested seeds from my Stachys byzantina (Lamb's Ear). The leaves are velvety soft, and stay that way permanently. I kept a leaf by my nightstand and was surprised when I picked it up months later and felt how soft and plyable it still was.

I've seen posts/videos about using Verbascum thapsus (Mullein) as nature's toilet paper. I'm sure these people do not speak from experience, as Verbascum thapsus will leave poky hairs in your backside. Stachys byzantina leaves would be much better for that purpose.

Both are edible ( dont know if theres any variation of lambs ear thats not tho) , which u might already know. Mullein is great medicine too esp fir the winter months. I usually dry the leaves and flower buds and make teas all winter.

Mullein is great for respiratory issues. Don't eat the seeds though!
