after the government considered banning twitter, now alexandre cabeça de piroca moraes has just suspended telegram in brazil. yesterday, the chamber of deputies approved the urgency voting of the “fake news” bill, and it’s likely that from next week on (depending on its vacancy) we’d see blatant censorship. nostr fixes this. I predict a flood of brazucas.

So it’s official that they banned telegram there
crazy stuff 😬
It's still on, but the court order was given. suspension until conditions are met. and it’ll get worse with the bill. fkn nonsense.
It wasn’t possible to ban telegram in countries like russia and iran. Why does the government of 🇧🇷 think they will be successful? 🤷🏻♂️🤦♂️
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
it may affect the average john, not who’s there for a purpose.
it actually was a federal judge from espírito santo, which just makes it even worse. meanwhile: in the algorithm class, the teacher is concerned with what a possible next right-wing government would do with the bill, not with the current one that is passing the bill cause, well, left is good. oke.
also meanwhile: our minister of justice, a “leftist”, said about the case that whatsapp (hence telegram) and fake news were “invented by satan”. telegram has been down for eleven hours now. bd.

Acho improvável o governo banir o Twitter. A Turquia decretou a plataforma restringir o acesso a alguma informação e eles obedeceram.
