In the end, they either move forward with killing it or not. If so, it's up to clients and providers to comply with that - or not.

This being said, in the end it doesn't matter. Nostr is a free market and if providers provide (free) services, clients can use them or not. So far, many clients have decided to use DVMs as they are today and they all could make sense of "the useless spec".

Doesnt matter what anyone with merge rights in the repo dictates or changes out of the blue for whatever reason. And if their ideas are better, clients will adapt. If not, well then we have a shadow-documented process that is already established.
