Not so directly as this, but I do find it terribly arrogant that a government would presume it has a right to a greater portion of our incomes than God commanded people offer to the priesthood (tithing, etc).

I think about 1 Samuel 8 a lot. The real downsizing of the government happens within (being closer to god)
