So just based on scrolling my feed, and there may be some bias because I tend to follow a lot of very based users, but the prevailing attitude among American nostriches today seems to be that a second American civil war is almost inevitable and necessary.

Hard pass. I don’t think a single person here is really about all that talk

We want peaceful dissolution.

I would like to point out that most of you have never witnessed or experienced the consequences of armed conflict before. It gets pretty ugly. Stuff that will give you nightmares.

I think a civil war would be unfortunate and probably the product of a government propaganda campaign focused on promoting division in the population. It’s difficult to imagine a revolution against the government with the widespread influence it has over nearly every information source. I think the exception to this would be widespread abject poverty, a state that is coming closer every day. In either case, civil or revolutionary war, it’s going to be an unpleasant time for everyone.

A peaceful dissolution of the union is the right path forward due to the irreconcilable differences in this country, but that's something the deep state/feds will not allow.

Absolutely. I think a decent example is the proposed State of Jefferson here in the Western US. I think the idea is decent, the implementation and ideals not tenable or completely unrealistic, but Northern California has nothing in common with central and southern CA. Same with western and eastern parts of Oregon and Washington. There is no effective representation in government for anyone, even less for the people in sparsely populated regions.

I imagine that the idea of peaceful dissolution was unimaginable in Russia in 1989 too. As these $1T interest payments start to stack up, the gap between what the feds will allow and what they are capable of stopping is going to widen.

They'll lack human capital as well. Half the military will defect. Most fighting men in this country will be on the side of States rights this time, and the feds will be left with an army of mostly sissies and faggots.

I have some retired military in my family. If they’re an indication, you’re correct. Neither is a “patriot” for the fed. The feds will be left with an army equal in size and slightly inferior to the army that will defect? lol. 😁

I think that kind of talk is rhetorical and attention grabbing, and not realistic.

A civil war would be two sides with competing views. What we have is one side, the uniparty state apparatus, which has captured 95% of the populace with the psyop of 'red vs blue'.

I see a revolution as a more likely outcome long term.

The American civil war was a failed revolution. It was states rights vs federal supremacy. A second American civil war would be the same conflict with only slightly different geographic lines.

Alternate view: there was no attempt to overthrow and abolish the federal government, only to separate from it. I wouldn't consider it a revolution but there's a degree to which this is an argument over semantics.

Same could be said for the first American revolution. They didn't seek to depose the king of England, just to separate from the crown.

This is true. Depends on your definition of the terms.

Nikki Haley must be very confused rn

real talk: this has been a concern of mine for years & why I continually seek peace locally.

It disgusts me. Writing poetry has helped me to heal. No one should see war.

terrible outcome. Americans need a leader to help us find our unifying identity. drop the focus on diversity and focus on unity.
