Be self-sovereign. Running a node is the best way to use Bitcoin! It's not that hard if you use node software (MyNode, Umbrul, Raspblitz, Start 9, etc). Could be a good couple's project and you'll learn lots. 👍

Plus, I love those little raspberry pis.. you can do all sorts of things with them and running a node is pretty badass. 😎
