According to analysis, during the second and third shots, the agent was standing NEXT TO the vehicle, while the driver was moving away. The agent reached through the window to fire his weapon.

It depends on if there were other agents in the direction she was driving. The fuzz doesn't stop blasting you once you give them a reason to consider you a deadly threat.
If you shoot once and then rum away they will shoot you in the back. They assume you are a deadly threat to others, not just the one you attacked.

In wouldn't rule it out. But I know from what I have seen in my town that the 2nd paragraph is true. If you attack the polo with a deadly weapon and run away they will give chase and shoot you in the back. They are trained to do this because "for all they know" you are a threat to the general public as well.
It is best to keep the protests peaceful and if you are going to peacefully obstruct, stay cool and let them arrest you. Let them be the asshole.
Of you panic or strike them then you won't live to protest another day and you may hurt your own cause. Regardless of if the officer enjoys or regrets shooting you.
She did not have a weapon, the 3 shots were point bank at her face, the car only drove off like that because she was dead already
In the eyes of the officers her vehicle is a weapon. If she were standing in the street blocking traffic this would have played out differently. She is being detained and there is an agent I'm front of her car. It's possible she wasn't even looking where she was driving because of the two agents at her door.
She starts driving forward into the agent in front of her as he draws. He fires the first shot. Those are the events. The entire time they are ordering her to stop and the agent that fired was blocking her path.
I'm not saying it's right. No government authority is legitimate. There are plenty of criticisms to the approach they are taking.
Any armed police force would handle this situation this way. Protestors ought to be annoyingly peaceful. The Canadian truckers protest in Ottawa are the example IMHO.

Wasn't meant as a joke. This tragedy could have been avoided. It looks to me like she tried to flee and an officer stepped in front of her vehicle while she was reversing.
I just don't know how you don't get shot if you drive into officer or fail to break if he steps in front of your vehicle.

How does Border Patrol have any jurisdiction in Minneapolis? I know that Noem and Trump admin give zero fucks about rules and norms, but how is their presence not being more aggressively challenged by state governments?

It's not border patrol. It's Immigration and Customs Enforcement. They have jurisdiction everywhere.

Media fucks this up all the time too, canโt seem to differentiate between ICE and Border Patrol. They are both under DHS. Many of the leaders of ICE have recently been replaced with Border Patrol agents because Trump admin likes the more aggressive tactics of Border Patrol.
It seems that both ICE and Border Patrol agents were present at this shooting in MN today.

It's more likely that border patrol was in Chicago because Chicago is within a hundred mile radius of a border so they have jurisdiction there.

Watch any news clip from the past few days and you will see some officers wearing Border Patrol insignia. Some wearing ICE insignia and some with just โfederal policeโ or other vague uniform markings.
Itโs not a debate or even a question. Border Patrol is operating in Minneapolis alongside Immigration and Custom Enforcement. They are all under the umbrella of DHS led by Kristi Noem.
