That's strange. Did it actually install? It looks like it's not installing at all. It does say v0.83.1-play in my device.

Did the build get stuck somehow? Or is this the right version and just a wrong version string?

I now realize, it's refusing to install. I think the app installer is crashing (usually silently, but I did see it say that it crashed once or twice). Well, now it won't install. I'm on android 14. Not sure why this started happening but it does seem like I've been stuck on that old version since android 14 (dec 5th) and just didn't notice.
Try using Obtainium. The side loading installer has been quite difficult to work with recently. Obtainium has a separate installer.
thanks, yeah I'll try that. I may fire up ADB too or something to try to see what the crash is, it's weird..

Ah thanks for this! I am glad it's not just me haha. Well, I updated Android studio, and compiled and installed with that. Adb install still works fine at least,whew 🎄
can't believe I've been updating apps and not noticing they didn't update, why doesn't Android even show that it crashed. scary..
