It's kind of weird to think that clients like Primal have opted to not recognize other reactions emojis. To think that the majority of engagement from Nostr you're getting looks like literally nothing at all.

Primal users leave nostr faster than Amethyst users for sure. If social media is for communication, why is primal just straight up censoring half of it by not recognizing reactions?

Because reactions are hollow and don't have any value. Zaps are the real reaction. They're the only thing that actually matters. Show more reactions or not, Zaps are the signal.

Than why not do only zaps? Or count reactions as a like whether they are or not?

The problem for me is that these reactions exist, but im not sure their is a single iOS client that recognizes them. I know primal users that leave because they are getting "no engagement at all, when they have like 10 people hopping in with emojis on all their posts. Hollow reactions is better than feeling completely alone when you are not

This last reply is a fair point. I think it makes sense to show these other reactions, if they can be shown in a desirable manner. nostr:npub16c0nh3dnadzqpm76uctf5hqhe2lny344zsmpm6feee9p5rdxaa9q586nvr what are your thoughts?

Derek I don't think this is accurate. I often zap WITH a reaction emoji. It is MORE signal. A Zap + Handshake meaning I agree, a zap + laughing meaning thanks for the laughs. A zap without a reaction seems hollow too

🤷‍♂️

Try again?

same

I tried again Derek, failed.

meanwhile,

primal is

just zap

with a tap

this doesn't fit any definition of censorship I can see.

Are Primal users not free to trial the slew of other clients available?

Name an iOS client that can see reactions please

Nothing is stopping you from using web apps.
