I did not consume butter or cream before that either. Everything has its place. Toasted cheese with cheddar does not approach the American Cheese experience, however delicious cheddar is, a fact with which I wholeheartedly agree. If I am having cheesetoast or burgers, it is the American Food Product!

Just use the broiler for a short time for good cheese toast, it's way better. Life is too short to waste it eating fake cheese.
