I’ve read you can mix acrylics with something so they don’t dry so fast, but I haven’t tried it. For my art, I like drying time since I use a lot of layers which means I can keep going.
The blue one here is an 8” x 10” and is usually how I use acrylics.
The dragon mountain is a 24” x 30” and is the most “painted” art I’ve done in a long time. All the light brown is tissue paper, and the dragon’s back ridges are paper. The scales are a bronze metallic but it’s difficult to see in the photo; I don’t have great light where it’s hanging right now. #artstr
The pieces I’m working on now are for the nostr:npub1yxqdukmj70wlhwf6vg3fwkwcxmgdalahgsl7lcpka8gvs4xkew3s7p3a6x Creator Contest, so I won’t be posting photos of them until after the contest ends.

Wow, they are so cool 🌸 definitely the drying layers are so helpful for you since I can see you’re much more into mixed media. Pretty tight. I guess I like “more of a mess” the one gouache and watercolor can provide ;P but I’ll check out what I could use if in the future I decide to take a leap of faith in acrylics, but now I’m hopeful 🫡
