It would seem to me that the third device not showing up in connections, even if they were able to get access, is a pretty serious problem. I mean if that was happening to PearDrive I’d be stressing on how to ensure that wasn’t possible. Also, that only having access to unencrypted text on one of the devices would be enough to sync a new, perfectly cloned device that your other devices couldn’t see.

Obviously this requires access to your machine and lots of other problems to get to here, but what about this isn’t a concern in your opinion?

Because they cloned the data from one device to another

Both devices think they are the same when they are not

To do this you need a backdoor in that person’s computer (you have bigger problems if so) and it is not unnoticeable (messages disappearing)

Also if you remove the device cloned from the device cloned to also gets logged out
