As of windows 10 the user has no ability to control the OS. Windows does what it wants, and in fact even when you 'shut down' it does not actually shut down, but goes into a type of sleep.

From what I have read if you to 'restart' it will actually shut down. Apparently for the purpose of low level access needed for updates etc.

Windows has gone the way of google and all the rest of big tech (evil) I like Ameliorated windows (https://ameliorated.io/) but it breaks a lot of programs (outlook is unusable on win AME)

I actually trust the hackers who created Ameliorated more than I trust Microsoft anymore.
