I would argue Saddam was an evil dictator, but I didn’t support invading Iraq for regime change, just as I wouldn’t support invading Russia for regime change. However, there are (some) similarities between Iraq invading Kuwait and Russia invading Ukraine. That’s where deterrence comes into play. It is prudent IMO to discourage dictators redrawing sovereign boundaries.
The point isn't if some leader is good or bad, the question is simple. Is the cure worse than the disease?
