UK played a significant role in fucking up a lot of things in the world. But realistically, you stop paying taxes and then they put you to jail? How is that a good outcome for any UK citizen

Agreed. The best way I’ve found of avoiding paying tax is earning fuck all money.

I appreciate my process is a little flawed…

Same, this is part of why I don't accept zaps

That’s not realistic for most. But if it works for you that’s good at least

It's non participation

It's not actually a flawed strategy, by not making much money you're avoiding symbolic support via taxes but also pragmatic support because you're not contributing too much to the warmonger empire economy

Instead of living your life, improving yourself and your local community, let the troubles of the whole world drag you down, and impoverish yourself. Sounds like a great plan 🤦‍♂️

Give me 1sec let me put my kids into poverty so I can take care of Gaza. It’s more important

Too much of a pussy to even post about Gaza because you're scared it will make your family poor

But it's cheap and risk free enough to zap "ser sleepy" multiple times for gaslighting me about Digit being dead

Eh?

Just joking on Ryan’s note

The three dots in my post clearly indicates humour…

But on a serious note, I’ve also family in Lebanon and I give a shit about them as well as family who live close by.

Beirut keeps getting bombed, which I don’t enjoy much.

No issues with you. Always been able to have a reasonable conversation with you

If only you could always be reasonable instead of just selectively depending on who you're talking to

Reading this while on my way to a Lebanese food truck for lunch today 🤙

I'm sorry for your family's situation. There's nothing I can do about it though, so dwelling on it makes no sense. I'll continue to improve myself and my local community. It's all most people can actually do.

I mostly agree re. improving self and locality but I stand by my original point, my country’s government and businesses local to me are directly involved in the killing. To ignore it completely would be a fail from my perspective.

If I were to pay more attention, maybe even post a note of solidarity of Nostr, how would that help people in the middle east? What concrete, real world example can you give me of how that would improve the situation, and make people's lives better? It all seems like virtue signaling.

I'd rather spend that energy on people close to me, who I can help directly.

You're sick with tribalism

Still posting pointless replies in my thread while having me muted but you tell yourself you're the one "improving yourself and your local community"

You could at least post more about the topic on nostr if it's too hard to get away with standing against the funding in the UK
