Not surprised that Jimmy comes in with the best response. I’ve seen Jimmy walking around multiple conferences with his cowboy hat and everything, so he’s always been fully present. He’s been doing this way longer than me.

I will say that if someone ever punches me at a conference, I’ll likely punch back. I do have a constant subtle stress awareness at conferences when I’m walking around. There’s always a part of me ready to bring out fucking trailer park Lyn and throw down until security shows up.

But one cannot rely on that, since weapons and such do exist. In that sense I do monitor faces for folks who show recognition to me, and potential threats. Fortunately never had the latter.
