GM fellow nostriches, got a #carnivorediet update for you all. I am completing week 7 of carnivore and have lost 14 pounds. I’ve been hitting them gym 3-4 times a week doing weight training, as well as doing martial arts workouts twice a week. I eat twice a day (lunch and dinner) on Mon, Wed, Fri, Sat, and Sunday. I eat once (lunch) on Tues, Thur. I eat beef, chicken, pork, salmon, eggs, and cheese. I drink black coffee, as well as cold instant coffee with heavy cream with one pack of stevia. Occasionally I’ll drink a diet green tea, diet Dr Pepper, or sugar free sprite. I haven’t drank any alcohol or had any sweets since starting this journey. Benefits so far are…feel great, no afternoon crashes, and want to be active instead of sitting around.

If you’ve considered doing it, quit thinking and start doing. It will take a week or so to get your body adjusted on a dietary level and a couple of weeks for energy consumption (working out), but after that, it’s smooth sailing.

While I’m no expert, if you have questions, let me know and I’ll share my experiences.

Thanks to the friends that showed me the way and shared their experiences to help me get started. nostr:npub12gu8c6uee3p243gez6cgk76362admlqe72aq3kp2fppjsjwmm7eqj9fle6 nostr:npub1dd8vnrczuer7q9zqk3emhkf207hzrcqmd2nvvh3jmw22xcyjyuhqdfuvr6 nostr:npub1qqvt0m3nlvjnssmrn33w9yh7cuq2dx5nkz8wxax9hk5hrjdnj4jqz8cn3w nostr:npub1q6ya7kz84rfnw6yjmg5kyttuplwpauv43a9ug3cajztx4g0v48eqhtt3sh

I've lost 10 lbs and was no where close to being overweight... Now I'm just more cut

Same here. I didn’t do it to lose weight as much as I just wanted to redistribute it. I’ve noticed my midsection has slimmed down a bit and the wife told me my abs were looking good last night…💪🏻

The crazy part is if I look up what my weight should be based on my height and age, I’m still overweight by 7 pounds. That just seems crazy to me. If I get down to what “they” say is ideal, I’ll be at the same weight as when I graduated from high school, which was many many years ago.

You must be tall and/or athletic... According to BMI I'm overweight

I’m not tall and never really ever considered my self to be athletic built. I’ve always been considered as the small guy in the crowd. 😂😂😂

Good job man.

Thanks Bevo, and thanks for the inspiration to do it. 🤙🏻🫂

That's great, my dude! I've got a stall, currently, but that's not unusual since I'm still ~75lbs down in less than a year.

I'm glad you're finding it beneficial enough to stick with it. I find it hard to keep it up when spending time with family. No one wants to believe me that I don't need vegetables. 😮‍💨

Yes weekends are the hardest for

me. It seemed like everyone started cooking brownies or cakes or buying snacks and putting them everywhere. Luckly I’ve always had pretty good Will power an been able to stop my vices when the time came.

Congratulations bud! When I went carnivore (currently 20 months carnivore) I went down to the body weight I had in high school (~72kg) and after trying the lion diet I lost an additional 1.5kg, which I didn't think would happen in less than a month. Keep on experimenting and finding the best version for you.

Once you complete 12 weeks, send me a DM if you're interested in sharing your story on my podcast! Cheers!

Awesome, thanks for the consideration. 🤙🏻

Going carnivore feels like magic for many, I was personally amazed at how much of that "hard to burn fat" I lost and how quickly my IBS disappeared. Almost like magic compared to all the calories in calories out crap everyone tries, miserable salads and undereating while doing exercise.

The no afternoon crashes was mind blowing for me as well.

Congrats
