Question for #asknostr why is mowing so therapeutic?

For me it’s not about the lawn looking good after, which I do enjoy, but more of the act itself that I enjoy. Walking outside with my own thoughts mostly uninterrupted making visible progress. #proofofwork And maybe that it, that’s where the value comes from the proof of work. 🫡

I have the same one. Love that one (Charge the batteries with a solar panel) cutting the grass with the sun!

It might be the sound of grass being cut.

I know for myself, I love the look after it’s cut. All leveled and uniformed.

Mowing with an electric mower has been some of the most frustrating experiences of my life. Gas all the way

I love not dealing with gas and/or oil. This thing’s battery charges very quick, it is a lot more quiet than gas, I’m not smelling exhaust. Electric all the way. Never had an issue. Granted it’s only three years old. My father-in-law’s gas mower has twenty years of mowing, I’m not sure I’ll get that from electric but we’ll see.

It’s simple, repetitive, and gives instant results. You see progress with every pass, smell fresh-cut grass, and get a quiet break from screens and noise. It’s meditation with horsepower. I love my kids but sometimes you need a break from them. And it’s an excuse to catch up on your podcasts that you never have time for otherwise.

I DO THIS FOR A LIVING... I RUN MY LAWN MOWING BUSINESS BECAUSE I GET SUCH PLEASURE FROM DOING THIS...

I KNOW EXACTLY HOW YOU FEEL ....
