Switch on hardware acceleration & switch off continue running in the background.

Should help a little.

Mine fires up quickly, 2 windows & multiple tabs on a Linux system.

Nothing changed. Mine used to fly up until just a couple of days ago. That's why it's so annoying. There's something going on.
