I don't see any problem with that. Hopefully Taproot Wizard virgins will get bored of pushing OP_CAT by then.
sad, CTV has been ready for years now and is very conservative and safe. (plus it gives us simple vaults!)
i guess it depends on how good then new opcode we finally get is. if it's super powerful and flexible then 5 years due diligenece seems fine
