I love seeing the global community using nostr:npub1us9uc0sjjg0vyvh7vefgu2a96hx5up5gujl6pqays65hlk4de6hsnwq4g0 . I just found a French speaking Nest with over a dozen people! Plus, there are daily Portuguese / Brazilian Nests. And, I often find Spanish speaking Nests throughout the week too.

The European crowd has been holding it down for a bit now, sometimes I hop in and listen even though I can’t understand everything haha.

😂😂 yeah me too

🤣😂🤣

You’re so ready! When ya gonna do it?

I saw this as also, really cool! I often hop in to see what it's about and who's there, but then leave cause I dont know them 🤭

speech-to-tsxt with a live translation API might make it possible to also tune into foreign nests, that you might not otherwise understand 🤔

That would help, do you use this? If it's an inplemented function I'd prob use it

Just an idea I just had 💜

I wish I knew programming 😔

lol I just listen anyways and don’t understand most of it. Speech to text apps would help! Till then I’ll just catch the vibe haha

would be an interesting solution, eh? just thought it’d be yet another possible idea

Certainly the more intertwined our world becomes, the more such a “universal translator” would be helpful. Universal money makes universal translation more accessible as there is more need to translate when more people can transact freely.

Merci

Explain to me like I’m 5 … how do I see/listen to nest spaces on Damus? Thanks in advance for your help!

Nests is not built into the Damus app. Maybe whenever we rewrite the application that would be a possibility. For now, you need to join via your web browser.

Rats! Any particular client/website (not sure of the lingo) that you would recommend for a non technical background person?

primal.net and snort.social are great and easy to use web clients. coracle.social is another good web client, though some aspects of it are a bit complicated.

Coracle user experience (UX) is the best. But performance requires improvement.

PCR Nest Global Reach.

Amazing to see the expansion.

They were really happy you stopped by 🫂
