The AI space is getting more interesting. By opensourcing (for non commercial use) the LLaMA Meta surprised Google and Openai who wanted their LLM to be closed and proprietary.

This lead Sam to calling open source models might lead to uncontrolled LLM (citing safety limits, etc.,)

While it is really worrying I dont see how controlled systems are trained in a closed source model.

IIRC, Sam also mentioned in his previous interviews, In the future he thinks there will 3 or 4 companies that will be the center (they will own the LLM), and there will be tier 2 companies that feed information from these companies.

If opensource model succeeds then his dream will be shattered

Meanwhile openai also released an App today to compete with Google and that collects a lot of information

Day in day out the AI space gets exciting!
