Yah. nostr creator says he wants to filter at relays and that centralization of data around relays is how nostr is designed to work. Basically, fuck your decentralisation and non censorship. They envision a walled garden that they can monetize is my guess. Sad but others will rise.

It is a little amusing that devs on here assume no one else knows any tech. They get rude and snotty and snark instead of answering questions. I really hoped for better but many of the devs are freedom larps. just sad.

Unsurprising. To be honest, that's why I wasn't all too very optimistic when i first showed up here a few months ago. I saw some bloke who goes by the username Karnage go off on some young lad named Michael J. Didn't even answer the kid's question 🤣. Just left the discussion in fumes. 🤷‍♂️

hahaha I remember bro. We are all still having fun though so let it roll. The underlying tech is decent. Hopefully it will evolve well once the client side starts taking some of the power from relays. May even get federated one day who knows. There are a lot of young devs on the case though so they are smart but dont know the history of how projects and communities get captured and redirected. Not their fault but may be the downfall.
