It bothers me a lot to be here at nostr:npub18m76awca3y37hkvuneavuw6pjj4525fw90necxmadrvjg0sdy6qsngq955, writing something very significant and the application closes by itself and doesn’t save anything, from my imminent grade. This makes me lose interest in rewriting it, because it takes away my line of reasoning.

The same happens in nostr:npub12vkcxr0luzwp8e673v29eqjhrr7p9vqq8asav85swaepclllj09sylpugg! Already here, the basics of pulling the scroll to reread the note from the beginning - before sending, it is already the reason to close the note, returning to the feed; and nothing is saved (as in draft).

Stopped using Nostr on iOS for this same reason

This is a more daring task at the moment. Because all my devices are Apple, from the cell phone to the computer. And when I say - challenging - I mean already owning and it wouldn’t make sense to get rid of this equipment by the hour, with values lower than the purchase, just to buy back others from more politically open competitors.

At least not now! In the future, who knows. There are great chances.

This isn’t that hard to fix, but we have bigger issues at the moment. Onboarding is really bad so we’re focused on fixing that.

Damus is open source, so if you really want a feature added you can contribute it yourself or sponsor someone to add it. You can’t do that with X or other apps.

Our ios team is only one person part time at the moment, so there will be gaps when compared to big tech apps.

This is the easiest way. I believe that you, from Damus, will be able to act on this in the future, you are wise. I raise this issue precisely to highlight my user experience, not to bring bad light on the developers of this successful nostr:npub18m76awca3y37hkvuneavuw6pjj4525fw90necxmadrvjg0sdy6qsngq955 project with Nostr. Don’t get me wrong! 🙏

I wish I could contribute more, Vanessa - as well as part of the internal customer team; but I don’t have the qualifications for that. What I can in my humble suggestion is to use, test and report what can be improved broadly for everyone, not only for me, especially. I know of the battles that many of you have fought in recent months, in order to deliver the best you can, with the tools you have, while you can’t do better yet... And that’s why we’re all here, creating #notes, sending #zaps and contributing to an increasingly better place for the whole community.

We don’t persist drafts if the app closes, so it’s usually ok unless the app gets backgrounded and the os kills it

I would be curious to see if Nos.social works better for you. It’s still in TestFlight in most parts of the world but we’ve done a lot of work to improve the editor and prevent crashes in recent months.

Hi, Linda! Good morning, I hope you are well. My preferences for creating notes and experiences of writing them like this, is more pleasant for me via smartphone. And based on my outdated Apple cell phone, using Nos.social will not be possible; although I have already had the interest to use it.

My smartphone with IOS operating system is not very old (IPhone X), but for some reason, Apple decided not to make version 17 available.

So, with mine (16.7.10) I’m unavailable to test customers with higher versions, with yours. 😮‍💨😵‍💫

Although I realize that Primal thanked us with this correction (in 2.0), as I write, I underline and copy - when the text is reasonably long. Or else, if I see that I will extend myself, I resort to the notepad; because then there is no mistake in losing my reasoning.

This note of mine was before the most recent version of nostr:npub12vkcxr0luzwp8e673v29eqjhrr7p9vqq8asav85swaepclllj09sylpugg; which made me very happy. Primal is a “wide-sleeved marcher.” 🐎
