Ask yourself, how will they PAY for it? 🤨

If your lens can’t see beyond the fleeting illusion of the large scale (centralised) nation state, then this will be nearly impossible to grok….

All this (UBI, etal) will be tried over the next 5-10 years and all of it will fail. Because there is now an Apex predator, opt-in, decentralised and secure, borderless and trustless money that is spreading across the globe like an unstoppable virus 🧔🦠

History shows that such revolutionary tech upgrades COMPLETELY change society’s organisational and governance dynamics.

This will be no different. Just faster and even more disruptive (to the old decaying system)

Yeah, I think it'll be a combination of money print, cutting government and tax for the very rich.

I'm a best of all world kind of person. I'm playing for all games to succeed perfectly. And I really think it's possible.

Bitcoiners will benefit regardless, that was never the question. The question is, will there be some sort of system that benefit the masses or not.

Regarding the nation state, I agree, but I also think it's naive to think that the current structures will lose power. It's going to be an integration. Just look at Prospera, Honduras as an example. That thing can collapse at any moment if leftists truly want it.

Capital only helps to a degree, it needs to be a very smart integration, where everybody wins.

You know what I mean? By the way, this gives a great conversation. It would be cool to make a podcast on this topic if you ever like :)

I don’t see it as naive. Far from it. In fact it’s beyond inevitable. The literal definition of ā€œfait accompliā€

The dying fiat system and the emergent Bitcoin system are COMPLETELY mutually exclusive over any (even intermediate) time frame. One will win. One will lose. Full stop. Binary outcome. They can’t co-exist for any length of time. Even Greshams Law points this out.

To see this, it’s important to move beyond an understanding of Bitcoin as purely SoV. You must be able to see/imagine it as MoE. And of course (eventually) UoA.

1 bitcoin equals 1bitcoin is a far more powerful meme than most Bitcoiners can grok. Yet….

But don’t worry. This ā€œawarenessā€ is coming for ALL. Eventually.

Yeah, I think I get what you mean and I think we fundamentally agree with the ideal.

For example, if I may ask, would you move to and invest in an El Salvador, Bukele, ultra Bitcoin-based country somewhere in the world BUT that has a small 0,1% wealth tax to fund a UBI for the people?

You know what I mean? And in that sense it wouldn't be a tax per se because you'd be voluntarily invest in it because you believe in the project.

I think this is an example of a nation state of the future.

But like you're saying, I also think that we're going to have a bunch of communities like nostr:nprofile1qqsy6anug24qnrglth9vpj5l8a4mzaqgjc8tl5j65dn4tplkdmax4dgzhwtt3 eheh :D, pure voluntaryist, affordable, open, permissionless communities around the world and yes thus that absolutely means a collapse or a complete parallel, network state like, community (like I think you'd like to call it :D) or alternative to the current nation states.

I'm working on both ends/games. At the municipal/global parallel level (what I think you kind of call communities), with FreeVillages and then something else at national level, with something that I'm going to talk about soon for Portugal and any nation state in the world.

I think we should be working in both games simultaneously. The current nation state power structure and the new world (Bitcoin, Nostr). And then in the middle there will be the golden nuggets.

ā€œI think this is an example of a nation state of the futureā€

This is a complete oxymoron. From my perspective, there will be no ā€œNational Stateā€ of the future.

You’re waaaaay over complicating this, IMO. The answer is always far simple than the unnecessarily complex abstractions that our ā€œmonkey mindsā€ create.

Study nature….And learn to quiet your mind šŸ§˜ā€ā™‚ļø šŸ¦‹

(I wish someone had told me this at your age)

BTW, What I’m describing is not idealic wishful thinking. It’s a systems engineering imperative routed in millennia of history.

It’s not going to happen ā€œin the futureā€. It’s happening right NOW.

Maybe nostr:nprofile1qqsg86qcm7lve6jkkr64z4mt8lfe57jsu8vpty6r2qpk37sgtnxevjcpzpmhxue69uhkummnw3ezumrpdejqz8mhwden5te0wfjkccte9ehx7er9wf6kumn9wfejumn9w3mk7untg6sem9 has a little morsel of prophetic wisdom to add šŸ˜‰

but Próspera is far from a collaps

Yeah? How is it going? Is it integrating with the people around? There was this campaign from Democracy Now and other people there against it that made me a bit sad.

I think it's a great project, I support it 100%. I just think that most of the world is too lost to understand it.

It seems to integrate in a good direction, but it needs a bit more time... and perhaps more friendly Honduran government (which controls media that spread many lies).

Pace of growth (people, businesses, activity) is reasonable, I'm bullish
