Nice little hack for getting a little inbound liquidity to your #lightning node.
1. Login or create a stacker news account.
2. From your node, connect and open a channel to stacker news node. (Node ID is in the footer of their website)
3. From your stacker account creat a deposit invoice for some amount of sats.
4. Pay the invoice from your node.
Done! Now you have a channel with Sats on both sides of the channel but you still have control over it all.

In theory still your coin, but the half with them is in their custody. You are running counterparty risk and potentially regulatory risk.
Yup correct. You can still “control” the funds on both sides but since it’s custodial you’re right you have the counter party risk. I just use this hack to get some initial liquidity for small projects so I don’t have to beg (or pay) for inbound.
