I moved my family to Portugal nearly 2 years ago. And so very glad we left when we did. We love it here in Portugal. Most of all, my 21 yr old son has a future that does not include being treated like a second class citizen.

After going through a phase of normalising the escalating dysfunction in the country, things have now got so bad that our friends still there are now also finally beginning to go "f*ck we're in sh*t".

Not possible to leave for many, if not most people who would like to leave. It's all very sad.

I am, however, excited about the vibrant and growing bitcoin community in SA.

I do hope more South Africans grab the opportunity that Bitcoin presents and theres some great grass roots projects springing up, lol can't always be doomer about these things, and be the change we want to see in the world.
