I moved my family to Portugal nearly 2 years ago. And so very glad we left when we did. We love it here in Portugal. Most of all, my 21 yr old son has a future that does not include being treated like a second class citizen.

After going through a phase of normalising the escalating dysfunction in the country, things have now got so bad that our friends still there are now also finally beginning to go "f*ck we're in sh*t".

A friend of mine has also moved to Portugal, seems to be a popular destination for South Africans, and i'm glad to hear you're happy on the other side and all the best.

I agree with your sentiments, its just moving isn't a solution for everyone, but moving your money out of the system is an option, that can even eventually lead to moving.

But sitting around funding a dysfunctional system and then complaining about it is pointless, playing the victim is pointless, pointing to the obvious corruption and failures is pointless at some point you have to act, and protect yourself and your loved ones

Not possible to leave for many, if not most people who would like to leave. It's all very sad.

I am, however, excited about the vibrant and growing bitcoin community in SA.
