Hi. I got as far as tested use/tutorials about ##mixmaster (type 2); but played quite a bit also with type 3 ... mixminion ...though not sure I ever managed to get a self test out to myself! lols (it was a long time ago now) Jack B Nymble software (if memory serves) etc. #buggy

Not sure anyone (literally) ever got the remailer point I was trying to make for lawyers at the time (and here we are now, 20+ years later, with the entire planet falling to a criminal conspiracy of which Pres.. Kennedy spoke (and who's ciphers I've busted). What fun.

Nice to meet another Brit (I assumed, as I saw you in a UK related group)? (if you wanted to say).

Yeah, Jack B Nymble was always buggy. For a while, Quicksilver worked really well, but then the dev got bored and it stagnated.

The one I could never get working was Private Idaho, though it was theoretically the most feature rich of them all.

I haven't used them in years, same as you.

mixmaster and mixminion used to be installable from repository on Ubuntu (but are no longer :( ). Indeed, just checked (in case put back in) but:

Package mixmaster is not available, but is referred to by another package.

This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or

is only available from another source
