I think people are rightfully mistrustful of all politicians, but agree it’s hard to see how they weren’t obviously blindsided by Trump getting elected.

Agreed. They've never stopped lying about the guy, every political body that has screwed the people for decades hates him, his party basically lefty him putntondry and he still accomplished more than anyone before him in my lifetime.
My working theory on this is that this crowd is politicaly jaded in general and only passively absorb headlines which are shaping their reality whether they acknowledge it or not. The subliminal messaging is doing its job.
The Trump is controlled opposition crowd is similar to the Bitcoin was made by the CIA crowd. Neither has done the work to learn what they're talking about.
Reverse psychology is how the social engineers get many people to support #Trump. nostr:note1x4yk9y5up4ukh6cfegg5guuuxf4fga7gpt4jjgmypye4rrdw6w4stswqny
Sounds more like you've reverse engineered a presupposition.
I came to this conclusion years after believing that Trump was an opponent to the globalists. Whether I’m wrong or right, if you haven’t considered this possibility, you should try to read the plot with these lenses on, maybe some of the loose ends will start making more sense.
It's clear that none of us really understand how power is really structured in the world. You don't become a billionaire by being an outsider, that's true.
Personally, I don't get lost in the fantastical rabbit holes. I prefer to look at the real world metrics. By all of those metrics, the united States was respected, we had 3 years of peace, and we had real wage growth for the first time in 20 years.
Aside from the allergic reaction from the media and blatant lies told that triggered mass TDS, he's been vindicated and proven correct in virtually every instance. I'm not sure what the complaint is.
No offense but the metrics you highlight show confirmation bias. More bombs were dropped under Trump than Obama and of course adding several new trillion of debt helps to boost the economy.
Notice I said 3 years, not 4. He finished the wars from the previous 20 years and money spent isn't the correct metric. He did not open a new theatre of war but closed virtually all.
Trump invested in industries that were considered dead by Obama, but are critical for national security. Those jobs came back to the US which is why unemployment dropped to where it was. The low unemployment rate is what lead to the wage growth.
The same wage growth that the Fed stated to be their goal to stop. They weren't fighting price inflation, no one cares until it became wage inflation. There are genuine enemies of the people. The metrics show that Trump is not. He brought peace and prosperity to the world because a strong united states is imperative to peace and prosperity across the world. That's not a rose colored glasses perspective. Aside from European leaches, he was almost unanimously loved by citizens of the world for the stability he brought. The only instability was in the media.
