husband has a safety razor style that takes the same blades as the straights. he gets a super close shave with those.
Tried my hand at using a straight razor yesterday. I bought one of those single blade "shavette" style razors to get around my lips easier... I did my whole face, neck and cheeks with it. Not a single nick.
I did switch to my saftey razor for the second pass on my cheeks and neck.

Also have a safety razor, I've been using that for about 8 years or so. (wish I would have discovered sooner) I just got the straight razor to so arounds my lips, those tiny hairs are now gray and very pokey...
