Wish we say that in our hives this year. Nothing in the supers to collect. This are first year hives, so praying we can winter them and get some next year!

Don't expect to take honey in your first year. Let the hives establish themselves. Honey is their food to get through the winter - you are just a guest.
Do you have a winterization plan? Feeding, wrapping, sugar boards, pollen feed? If you want some guidance, let us know. It would help to know where you are (approx) and expected temps. We want your hives to survive and thrive!
Sometimes we lucky with a first year hive and something. Not this year.
Yeah we’re in the upper Midwest, so harsh winters.
We do the Minnesota method, and go into winter with three deeps, as opposed to the normal two. Gives them some extra food. We wrap the hives in tar paper, and put a moisture board at the top and crack the outer cover slightly.
I’d be open to hear any other tips from a pro though!
