I didn't say it's working. I tend to agree with what Lysander Spooner wrote about the Constitution.

Most people just want to be left alone and will put up with a lot before resorting to violence. The Covid/BLM riots were probably the latest test of this threshold wrt property rights. And even that was the threshold of the intolerant minority at the time. (My guess is it also lowered the threshold for more tolerant people though).
