Fun fact: Pecans are native to the United States. The first successful grafting of a pecan tree was achieved by an enslaved person named Antoine around 1846. This technique allowed for the propagation of superior pecan varieties and significantly impacted the pecan industry.

The farmer I work with here in the Southeast has a few acres of pecan trees that he's been growing for a generation or two now. It's great to work with him and learn a lot about the process.
