I like the foundation series by Asimov and Gibson's The Sprawl Trilogy

I didn't finish foundation, because it felt endless. Otherwise Isaac is great, but Foundation is huge and some parts are so stretched to fill the pages. However just I, robot is easy and awesome. Also idk if you guys know Harry Harrison, pick his Steel rat to have some laughs. It's between action, scifi and maybe fantasy, very lighthearted and stupid in a smart way.
Dune is also a good series. The 1st book is a beast to get through but the sequels were also good
My dad gave me Dune and Cyberiad when I was like eight, that wasn't easy reading.👀😅 I don't have all the Dunes, because they're hard to find, but many are very great. Some slide to sex and weirdness and it lost grip for me. But overall the universe is spectacular.
Dune is pretty good, some of the prequels were also good (read quite awhile ago), though I've heard mixed reviews.
