Very few things smell better than cooking onions
I posted a note months ago stating exactly this lol
For whatever reason it smells like home when I smell onions cooking. My mom never really sauteed onions, maybe it's that when I started learning to cook it was one of the first things I did 🤷♀️.
I buy exactly 7 onions at a time because I’m insane
