It’s been a SUPER busy day so I’m only now posting what I did for #lunchchain …

Been craving curry so I finally made some! The secret’s in the curry paste made from fresh onion, garlic, and ginger. I add hot and bell peppers to this, sometimes tomatoes or carrots (but not today).

Cooked some cubed chicken breast in butter with my favorite curry powder, added the curry paste and fried it. Then some blanched cauliflower and more curry powder and garlic powder, and finally some green beans and covered with the lid, watching for them to cook to the right color.

Stirred it up to cook further, then added cream, methi leaves (fenugreek leaves), and butter.

Served it with cumin seed rice cooked in homemade broth. So good… I’m glad there are tons of leftovers 😁 nostr:npub1jrx2fk666k5nt8vgak9xwyxlgcwh8fl9rvpwvvcpdthuqkcnptrqdfhtaq also enjoyed it!

To wrap up, I peel ginger with a spoon, and here’s what I do with the peels: make them into tea! It’s so flavorful and they’re reusable for a second infusion, especially good if you add green tea to it.

Chicken: Polyface Farms

Butter: Amos Miller Organic Farm

Garlic: farmer’s market in Capon Bridge, #WV

Red hot peppers including beautifully scented Ghost pepper: a kinda rude guy at a farmer’s market in Fairfax (can’t remember his or his farm’s name so I have labeled the seeds saved from the peppers ā€œRude Dude Peppersā€)
