It’s crazy to me that horses have maintained their value for thousands of years.

“At that time chariots from Egypt could be purchased for 600 pieces of silver, and horses for 150 pieces of silver. They were then exported to the kings of the Hittites and the kings of Aram.”

‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭1‬:‭17‬ ‭NLT‬

A horse today cost $1,000 - $5,000. Silver cost about $30 an ounce. $30 * 150 = $4,500.

It's because they cost a lot to maintain and you need lots of space for it and if you don't maintain them then the horse will die. So it has to maintain its value.
