Adventured down a back channel of a river today boating. Found this beautiful abandoned framework. Used to carry a pipeline across the river. Made a great picture.

Nice! Those waters look like there would be some crocs around?
The odds are low but they’ve been sighted! Snakes are a much bigger concern, but the discerning cat avoids them as many are venomous around rivers in this area!

Lots of spiders too. Crocs (here actually alligators) are not yet a real concern. Water moccasins and cotton mouths, along with black widows and brown recluses much more so!
Shit. All the nasty critters. I like large mammals as my predators, so that my old eyes can see them from a ways out.
